successful exchange of information on  the quality checking of radioactive waste packages.  This in turn has led to improved identification of R&D projects funded by the EC. Valuable links have been established with Standards organisations, such as ISO and ASTM, who are active in the development of Standards relevant to the quality checking of radioactive waste packages and with laboratories in Eastern European countries.
